What do I have to do?
Included in your kit you will get a complete day by day guide. The guide will tell you what to eat every single day for 21 days. You have to prep and make all the food. You take the supplements when they tell you and drink a ton of water. As well as power greens and a detox drink.
You will not be working out. Maybe a walk or light yoga if you want, but that is it.

Seriously and truly I am SO SO grateful that Beachbody came into my life! I feel like every day I am getting closer and closer to where I want to be and the person I want to become! Drinking Shakeology every day for 90 days has made a HUGE difference for me! I have so much more energy and am more regular! I actually go #2 every day now! TMI I KNOW! Food Container Cheat Sheet
Besides using the 21 Day Fix iPhone app, this little cheat sheet right here is my saving grace! I have it saved on my phone in my photos at all times! You never know when you are at the grocery store and need to know "what container would this fall under?!"
Grocery Shopping- PLAN PLAN PLAN
I have never been the kind of person who can go shopping once a week for the whole week. It just doesn't work for us and our lifestyle. So I often go grocery shopping on one of my days off and then again later in the week. But the one thing I ALWAYS do is have a list. When I can, I try to use these grocery shopping lists below but in a pinch I'll make a note in my iPhone or even text myself my grocery list!
Meal Plan- PLAN PLAN PLAN (catching onto the planning theme ;)
My first round of 21 Day Fix I was extremely successful and I loved my results and I strongly believe this is because I planned out my first week on an Excel spreadsheet. I am on Plan B so here is a sample 2 days:
The meals that say *See Recipes* See below :)
English Muffin Pizzas: 1 green, 2 yellow, 1 purple, 1 blue
(2) 100 calorie wheat english muffins
Marinara or pizza sauce (organic and no salt added)
1 blue container of mozzerrella cheese
Veggies of choice
Split English muffins and place in the oven at 350 degrees until toasted.
Divide sauce evenly among the four halves.
Divide cheese evenly among the four halves.
Top with seasoning of your choice.
Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted.
Creamy Chicken Salad: 2 green, 1/2 Purple, 1 red, 1/2 blue, 1/2 orange
3 cups cooked chicken (I usually buy canned chicken)
1/2 cup chopped green apple
1/2 cup seedless red grapes sliced in half
1/3 cup sliced raw almonds
2 green onions sliced
2 tbsp chopped tarragon
8 cups shredded romain
1/4 cup honey mustard dressing (see below)
Honey Mustard Dressing recipe:
1/2 cup 2% plain greek yogurt
3 tbsp dijon mustard
3 tbsp raw honey
3 tbsp rice vinegar
1/4 c olive oil
Combine yogurt, mustard, honey and vinegar
Mix well, slowly add oil whisking until well blended
Combine all but romaine
Fridge covered and chill 2 hors
Serve on 2 cups of romaine
Spicy Tuna Salad: 1 red (if make into quesedilla 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 blue)
Tuna in water
greek yogurt plain
Mix all ingredients and cool in fridge
If want to use 1 yellow and 1 blue, make into a quesedilla with whole wheat tortilla and 1/4 cup montery jack cheese

Brief Explanation of 3 Day Refresh:
Great way to break through a plateau, break bad eating habits, or even kick start a weight loss program! Most people lose around 5 lbs in the 3 days.
The day looks like this:
*Chug 10 oz of water when wake up
*Shakeology mixed with water, ice and a fruit
*Fiber Sweep drink
*A lunch of vanilla refresh shake with fruit, a veggie and a healthy fat
*Veggie snack with a healthy fat
*Dinner of vanilla refresh shake and a veggie based "dinner." I use that word dinner loosely as it's not a huge meal or anything. There are recipes to choose from and all of them I made were yummy!
Here is a little diary of my 3 Day Refresh
Woke up and did 21 Day Fix Lower Fix workout. You are allowed to workout on the 3 Day Refresh but it isn't required. They suggest mild to moderate exercise so I didn't push AS hard as I normally do since I would definitely NOT classify 21 Day Fix as mild to moderate, more like super hard lol. After my workout I was HUNGRY but thankfully breakfast was my normal breakfast of Shakeology. I felt great throughout the day and very rarely felt hungry. I felt a mild headache coming on so I chugged a bunch of water and felt much better! TMI but I was worried about being gassy or poopy after the Fiber Sweep drink but was not at all. For my dinner I put cinnamon in my vanilla shake, and it was delicious! It kind of tasted like a Starbucks cinnamon dolce latte frap! Went to bed kind of hungry but excited for tomorrow!
Woke up feeling great with a lot of energy and wasn't hungry so did my Pilates Fix workout and then made my Shakeology and headed to Target with baby girl. I purposely planned the 3 Day Refresh being mostly on my off days at work in case I got cranky or was in the bathroom a lot. I was feeling great so after Target I cleaned out a bunch of stuff in the house I had been wanting to. Part of my weight loss journey also includes decluttering our lives. I hate having so much STUFF. Loved my lunch of cauliflower with hummus and strawberry vanilla refresh shake. Dinner was a recipe from the 3 Day Refresh book. It called for seaweed which I couldn't find but it was delicious without it! Carrots, onions, peppers, edamame, and spinach sauteed in sesame oil. I would definitely make this again and add some chicken or tofu to it! Started to get gassy right before bed but went to bed feeling good and not hungry.
Woke up STARVING and was feeling kind of sluggish. I slammed a glass of water and was still hungry so I made my Shakeology and a black coffee. Decided to take the day off from a workout. The 3 Day Refresh is about 900 calories a day, so you definitely don't have to workout and I was just trusting to and listening to my body. I had both kids at home with me and they were all kinds of NUTTY and I was all kinds of cranky, not sure if this was Refresh induced or just life induced. I felt better after my lunch- I ate leftovers of the brussel sprouts with peppers and onions in the sesame oil. Was still very gassy but surprised that I had no cravings for processed or junk food. I loved my dinner! I made the green beans from the 3 Day Refresh book, they were sauteed in evoo but then drizzled with lemon juice and sea salt, SO YUMMY! I saved my last vanilla refresh shake for after we got the kids in bed kind of like a treat, I made it again with cinnamon and lots of ice and its such a treat! Going to bed proud that I finished it and excited for my weigh-in!
3 Day Refresh Results
I lost 3.1 lbs and am officially below my pre-baby weight. I don't see a huge difference but I do think my stomach and hips don't look as wide. One change I was surprised with was how clear my face and complexion got!
I was most surprised with the difference that has happened in just 40 days! 40 days of 21 Day Fix, Shakeology every day for breakfast, Beachbody On Demand workouts in between 21 Day Fix Rounds and the 3 Day Refresh. It is only a difference of a little over 8lbs but the photos show such a huge change (in my opinion)

My number one excuse every time I would start (and eventually stop) was TIME. I would always tell myself "I'm so busy...I'm working full time...I have a kid...I need sleep" You get the jist ;)
When Landon was born, we had to spend several nights in the hospital due to him getting a fever at less than a week old (all ended up being fine!) But I'll never forget sitting up at 2am in the hospital chair (half asleep) feeding Landon and watching a Focus T25 infomercial. It was one of those super long infomercials like 30 minutes and I felt excited the longer I watched it and remember thinking "25 minutes?! I can do that! Oh, and there is a modifier named Tania! Tania had a baby and she can do the workouts, that means I can!" I didn't order it immediately but once I finally recovered from the birth which was a long hard recovery from an extremely fast labor and a 9.3 lb baby, I ordered it. I remember feeling excited and when it came I did the workouts but I didn't order Shakeology and I didn't have any contact with a coach and guess what? I quit somewhere along the line. It wasn't just suddenly one day I quit. I think I slowly stopped believing that I could do it and before I knew it I was pregnant again with baby #2.
I had a healthier pregnancy with Riley (baby 2). I worked out at Pure Barre classes for most of my pregnancy and didn't eat like I was eating for two and I felt so much better than I did when I was pregnant with Landon. I was way less achy, had less water retention and gained less weight.

In our house, Mexican food is KING and the spicier the better! If my husband approves of a dish, then I know that it is a winner. I made this and he loved it! Score!
21 Day Fix containers are: 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue and 1 green per serving
Red pepper diced
Yellow pepper diced
1 medium onion diced
1 pound ground turkey
1/4 c southwest seasoning (from 21 day fix book or use a low sodium taco seasoning)
6 blue containers of shredded cheddar
2 red containers of fat free refried beans
2 cans diced chilis
12 corn tortillas
Preheat to 375 and spray a 9x13 pan
Brown turkey with onions and peppers
Add chilis, seasoning and about 1/4 cup water to meat mixture
Simmer 10 minutes
Line sprayed pan with 6 tortillas
Spread with 1 red container beans
Place half meat mixture on top beans
Cover with cheese
Bake 30 minutes
Makes 6 servings

Today I took my "after" photos to see my 21 Day Fix results. There is nothing more terrifying and vulnerable than taking pictures in your sports bra and workout shorts. But nonetheless, I DID IT! I completed the 21 Days and I am thrilled with the results! I lost 4.1 lbs and over 12 inches total. The most inches were lost in my waist and hips both at over 3 inches lost! For just 3 weeks of work, I think that's amazing! I feel like I no longer look like I recently had a baby. In fact, when I recently told someone I had a 4 month old they commented on how great I looked (that is a whole other topic some day) but I did enjoy the compliment! I'll be following the 21 Day Fix meal plan for the next 2 weeks but doing various workouts like T25, Insanity, Hip Hop Abs, etc until I start my second round of 21 Day Fix on August 29th, Monday.
